Year 10 Assessments
Year 10 Assessments
Year 10 students will sit assessments in December and June which will provide an opportunity for teachers to check how well their learning has been embedded. Results will be shared in students' progress reports, which will be published on MCAS at the end of the spring and summer terms.
Students will sit some of their assessments in the sports hall to prepare them for their final GCSEs.
Equipment
Students must have their full equipment with them each day for their assessments (including black pen, pencil and specific maths and science equipment such as a calculator, ruler, protractor and compass). They will not be expected to have a transparent pencil case.
Students will only be set revision-based homework the week before their assessments. If your child is absent for any assessments, they will take them on their return to school. If you have any queries, please contact your child’s form tutor in the first instance.
Revision
Resources to support with revision can be found elsewhere on the website on our Revision Strategies page and our Raising Achievement Page (KS4 focus, but hopefully some useful items for some students and families).
Revision lists can be found attached below.
