Ms Onorie
Head of Year 11
Blessing Onorie joined HASU as Head of Year 10.
Previously, Blessing was at Harris Invictus for 7 years where she was Subject Lead for History for 5 years, KS4 History Lead for 1 year prior to that and became Mental Health Lead in September 2022. She is a passionate teacher of History and thoroughly enjoys teaching the subject. When she was 10 years old, in Year 5, her class was asked to do an independent project on the Ancient Egyptians and she has been hooked ever since then. She always knew she would go on to study History. Blessing studied History at Queen Mary, University of London and her favourite course was the History of Philosophy. She still is a keen learner and at any point in time you will find her beginning, in the middle of or just finishing off some course or training.
Blesing is extremely passionate about pastoral care and mental health. She wants all children to feel valued, empowered and confident and she hopes to help all of her students to achieve this.
In her spare time, Blessing is an avid reader and aspires to write a collection of short stories one day. Blessing loves music but especially soul music and R'n'B. She also loves the theatre and live music.
