Acting Assistant Principal

Alex Dennehy is Acting Assistant Principal responsible for Student Leadership and Careers (CEIAG).

Alex has a passion for STEM and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Bristol, obtaining a MSci in Chemistry in 2014. He joined HASU in September 2022 and has helped raise the profile of the Science department in his role as Science Lead Practitioner. His subject specialism is Chemistry, and he enjoys leading the Chemistry provision at A-Level and GCSE. Alex also co-ordinates the ECT program at the Academy as ECT Induction Tutor.

Previously, Alex was Head of Chemistry at Glenthorne High School in Sutton for over six years.

Alex loves to travel and is always on the pursuit of his next trip to pursue his passion for scuba diving. Alex enjoys HITT workouts and BoxFit in his spare time, along with socialising with friends and family.
