Vice Principal
Dan Smith is Vice Principal with responsibility for the curriculum, data, assessment and the Sixth Form. He works closely with the Subject Leaders, Directors of Learning and Lead Practitioners to develop teaching and learning in the school and ensure our students meet their academic potential. Dan is also responsible for the school timetable.
Dan was most recently Assistant Headteacher at an outstanding local comprehensive school where he worked for 11 years in both pastoral and academic roles. Dan is passionate about supporting all of our students to reach their potential in their time in school.
Dan studied History at the University of Cambridge, specialising in modern world History in his final year. Dan stayed to complete his PGCE after his undergraduate degree. He has also completed a Masters in Education with the same university whilst teaching. Dan is currently undertaking his NPQH.
Outside of the classroom, Dan enjoys keeping fit by running and swimming and spending time with his family.
