Acting Vice Principal
Alysia Haughton-Nicholls is Acting Vice Principal with responsibility for the Personal Development Curriculum. Alysia has been at HASU since it opened and has created and developed the Academy’s amazing Student Futures Programme that encompasses the Enrichment Programme, Careers Programme and Educational Visits. Alysia has also designed an engaging and challenging Biology Curriculum to harness a love of learning the discipline.
Alysia studied Biochemistry (Medical) (BSc) at the University of Surrey, completed her PGCE through the Leadership Development Programme with Teach First and achieved a Masters in Educational Leadership from the Institute of Education, UCL.
Previously, Alysia was the Achievement Coordinator for Year 7 at The Quest Academy in the London Borough of Croydon where she worked closely with the Pastoral Director.
Alysia has been a competitive swimmer and now enjoys recreational swimming. She also enjoys sudoku as well as spending quality time with her family and friends.
